Scandinavias largest automobile-organization

With near 500 000 members the Norwegian Automobile Federation (NAF) is the largest automobile organization in Scandinavia.

NAF has a long history. The federation was established in 1928 and through the years we are recognized as an important organization in the field of traffic and communications. Most of our members are members because of the well-operating road-assistance NAF provides.

Internationally NAF is a member of Fédération Internationale de l´Automobile (FIA). Our CEO Jan Johansen is Vice President of FIA Region 1 and member of ARC Advisory Board.

Beside the many benefits, NAF is a member organisation working both for the individual member and consumers generally:

NAF and the community
NAF works actively for its members and society within a number of areas.:

  • Surveillance of products and services on behalf of consumers.
  • Spokesman for members in relation to the authorities.
  • Attempts to provide better mobility services to the population and the business community.
  • Works to ensure greater emphasis on safety and the environment in road traffic.
  • Aims to ensure that our member’s interests are heard in political debates.

NAF local Chapters
As a member you automatically belong to one of our 74 local chapters.
Here you will find a great number of volunteers that actively work for road safety and motoring in the local area. They ensure a high level of activities for members throughout Norway. You will also find a number of local services and benefits for members.
